Detectives with the Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office on April 3 arrested Cory Ashley Price, 33, of Hamptonville on charges of felony breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering and two counts of obtaining property by false pretenses.

Deputies received a report of a residential break-in on March 27 from a homeowner located on Court Drive in Hamptonville, according to a sheriff’s office release. During the investigation deputies determined that the suspect was a family member of the victim, according to the release.

The suspect entered the residence while the victim was away from the home and stole items. The items were then sold at two local jewelry stores located in Yadkin County. Detectives state that some of the items were recovered from the jewelry store and returned to the owner.

Price was released on a $20,000 unsecured bond.
