The Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office on Monday arrested four men on charges of felony breaking and entering after answering a call regarding scrap metal being stolen.

Shamus Ricky Jackson, 23; Dan Lee Chambers, 38, James Larry Reece Jr, 42; and Steven Coy Reece, 19; all residents of Yadkinville, according to a sheriff’s office release.

All four men were charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after breaking and entering and second degree trespassing, according to a release.

The Yadkin County Sheriff’s Office received a call from a property owner on Carl Road in Boonville, advising he had located the listed suspects in the act of stealing metal items on his property. After deputies arrived on the scene an investigation began and they found several items located in the back of a white Dodge van. The items were returned to the owner.

Each of the four suspects is currently being held in the Yadkin County Jail under a $15,000 secured bond. Further investigation is under way for more charges in metal theft.
