Mary Sue Hamm Wallace age of Lansing died Friday, March 8, 2013, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was 69.


Mrs. Wallace was born on Oct. 22, 1943, in Washington County, Va., to Lester and Ella Carpenter Hamm.


In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sister, Ruby Waddell and brothers, Bob Hamm and Howard Hamm.


Mrs. Wallace is survived by: one son, Randy Wallace of Lansing; two daughters, Rita Testerman and husband Justin of Lansing, and Greta Wallace of Asheville; two brothers: Bill Hamm of Cherokee and Lynn Hamm of Volney, Va.; two sisters: Frances Blevins of Whitetop and Erma Blevins of Borto, Pa.; five grandchildren, Lisa Sturgill, Jonathan Wallace, Matthew Wallace, Jarett Pennington and Randall Pennington; a special great-grandchild, Haley Wallace; six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.


The family will receive friends starting at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at the home of Lisa Sturgill, 144 Fees Branch Road, Lansing.


In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
