Terrie Lynn Parsons, age 49, of Jonesville, NC., formerly of Butler, passed away Sunday, March 3, at her residence.


Born March 8, 1963 in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Joseph “Smokey” and Helen Vavro Kosar, Jr.


Terrie was employed with Lowe’s Distribution Center in North Wilkesboro, NC.


She is survived by her husband Michael Parsons of Jonesville, NC; one daughter Nicole Gibson, of Elkin, NC.; two sons Robert Gibson, of Elkin, NC., and Joseph Gibson, of Butler; one stepdaughter Jennifer Parsons, of Butler; one brother Michael Kosar, of Vienna, VA.; and six grandchildren, Brian, Jacob, Caitlyn, Neveah, Colin, and Adam


Terrie was a loving mother, grandmother, and devoted friend. She had a big heart and touched all who knew her.


There is no public visitation.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 9, at 10 am. at Saint Michael the Archangel R.C. Church in Butler.


Burial will follow in Saint Michael’s Cemetery.


Arrangements are under the care of Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 429 Center Avenue, Butler.
