Fred Randall Bond, 70, of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at his home. Mr. Bond was born in Carroll County to the late Bernard and Ida Bond. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jewel Bond; son, Terry Bond; daughter-in-law; grandson, Dustin Bond; and siblings, Ralph, Bernard “Toots”, and Emma Jane. Survivors include his children and their spouses, Shannon and Johnny Shupe, Jeffrey and Ronda Bond, and Eric and Amanda Bond, and “Cecil” his beloved pet, all of Hillsville; six grandchildren, Amanda Lindsey and husband Zachary, Caleb Shupe, Kayla Shupe, Lauren Bond, Kaitlyn Wolak, Heather Schoonover, and all neighborhood and church children; two great grandchildren, Jaiden Lindsey and Jaila Lindsey; and sister Peggy Clark of Pulaski. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastors Terry Michael Bond and Donnie Hooker officiating. Burial will follow in the Bond Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
