Lloyd Winner Gambill, age 74 of Elkin, passed away on February 5, 2013 at Wilkes Regional Medical Center. Mr. Gambill was born in Surry County on July 24, 1938 to the late Vivian and Mattie Yarboro Gambill.


In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Lucille Gambill on November 22, 2008.


Mr. Gambill is survived by a brother, Odell Gambill & wife Shirley of McLeansville; a sister, Betty Sue Coleman & husband Ronald of Jonesville; nieces and nephews, Larry Luffman & wife Linda, Roger Dale Luffman, Craig Vanhoy, Deborah Matthews & husband Martin, Kim Cockerham & husband Chris.


Funeral Services will be held at 2:00p.m., Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel led by Dr. Danny Dodds. Burial will follow the service at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Johnson Funeral Home from 1:00-2:00p.m. prior to the service.
