A special note from Austin Macemore’s Family……..
Words cannot express how humbled we are by the outpouring of love for Austin and our family.
What started out as a tiny mustard seed in a Sunday school class at Union Grove Baptist Church grew into a legion of believers not only walking to honor Austin but to glorify God. There’s no way to thank everyone individually but here are but only a few of the many that helped make Race More for Macemore a success. Special thanks to Rob Snyder and Brent Winslow for coordinating the race and using their expertise to delegate each task to the right person.
To the sponsors whose unselfish giving turned this dream into a reality. Thanks to the Lewisville Motor Company for sponsoring the TV ad on WXII. A big thanks to the Twin City Track Club for helping with the official time and organizing the run. We also thank all of the volunteers who gave of their time and talents. Thanks to this awesome Town of Yadkinville whose public works department salted and scraped the roads to ensure the safety of everyone who participated, whose fire department took care of traffic control and laid the course out clearly for the walkers, and whose police department served as escorts.
Thanks to the FUMC of Yadkinville for use of their beautiful facility and the many other churches who prayed and lent a helping hand. Thanks to Nick and Twinkle Poindexter of New Eye Design for their hard work and amazing ability to print out 1200 awesome T-shirts in one week. Also, we would like to thank the many businesses who contributed to the goodie bags. We also love our Master of Ceremonies, Tim Collins and D.J., Kirk Casstevens for encouraging and having fun with the crowd. It was nice to hear a beautiful rendition of our National Anthem from Larissa Brown, Angela Winebarger, and Ethan Collins.
And special thanks to Trace Collins and Jordan Roberts for videoing this event. You were able to capture the spirit of the race so that Austin could see what a blessing he is to everyone and how through Christ…all things are truly possible. We just praise Jesus’ name to call Yadkin County our home!
