United States Attorney Ripley Rand announced that a Concord man was sentenced to 120 years in prison and supervised release for life for production of a pervy child pornography business.

David Matthew Hallman, 42, of Concord, North Carolina, pleaded guilty to four counts of production of child pornography in August 2012. United States District Judge Catherine C. Eagles sentenced Hallman to 1,440 months in prison to be followed by lifetime supervised release.

A co-defendant in the case, Mary Freda Williams, 33, was sentenced on December 17, 2012, by United States District Judge William L. Osteen, Jr., to 40 years imprisonment followed by lifetime supervised release.

Prosecutors state that Hallman sexually exploited multiple children ranging in age from 1 to 12, and produced thousands of images and videos of that sexual exploitation.

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
