Both junior varsity basketball teams came away with wins on Friday at Forbush.


The JV Lady Huskies were 39-34 winners. Tyler Eller led all scorers with 12 points. Aspen Greer scored eight points, as did teammate Savannah Brooks. Laura Hodgson added five points and Haley Cooper scored two points. Taylor Wooten led Forbush with 11 points.


In the boys’ matchup, Ashe led throughout and came away with a 64-56 win. Alex Spencer was the high scorer for the Huskies with 22 points. Corbin Winebarger had 12 points, Bradley Lucas added nine and Gavin Woodie chipped in five points. Connor Bowers scored five points and dished out eight assists, Parker Shelton scored four points, Stanton Moore had four points and 11 rebounds, and Evan Owen rounded out the Husky scoring with two points.
