John Wesley Fletcher, 14, son of Allen and Susan Fletcher, was promoted to the rank of Eagle Scout by the Boy Scouts of America at a special Court of Honor held on October 7.


Wes is a member of Troop 670, Old Hickory Council, in East Bend and he is a 9th grade student at Forbush High School. Wes’ accomplishments in Scouting include earning the Arrow of Light, Order of the Arrow Brotherhood, 57 merit badges and completing National Youth Leadership Training.


He was recently elected to Vice Chief of Publications for the Sapona Chapter of the Order of the Arrow. For his Eagle project, Wes coordinated the removal and replanting of damaged trees at the Union Cross Friends Meeting cemetery. His project included 281 volunteer hours.
