PILOT MOUNTAIN — Mrs. Nonnie Belle Simmons Taylor, 92, of Pilot Mountain, passed away on Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at Central Continuing Care. She was born on Dec. 29, 1919, in Surry County to the late Wilshire Ellis and Ida Mae Simmons. Mrs. Taylor was a retired farmer, homemaker and caregiver. She was a member of South Westfield Ruritan Auxiliary and Jessup’s Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Taylor is survived by two sons, Roger Taylor and wife Penny of Mount Airy and J.B. Taylor of High Point; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, William Lee Taylor; her parents; daughter-in-law, Barbara Taylor; grandson, James (Stevie) Taylor; three brothers; and eight sisters. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Jessup’s Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Barry Clement and the Rev. Keith Love officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cox-Needham Funeral Home.
