EAST BEND - The Falcons’ offensive woes continued Friday night as Forbush dropped a 28-7 decision to West Wilkes.

Forbush only managed 136 yards of total offense and found the endzone late in the fourth quarter to avoid being shutout for the second-straight game.

Quarterback Bennett Winslow completed four passes on the night for 83 yards, including a 20-yard strike to Brady Willard for the lone score. Matthew Stanley, G.C. Parks and Cameron Butner hauled in the other three passes.

In the rushing attack, the Falcons welcomed back running back Jordan Sawyers, who rushed for 40 yards on 11 carries in his first game back since going down with an injury in Week One.

Tyler Holden added a dozen yards on the ground, while Butner rushed for six yards on his only carry.

Defensively, Parks led the way with 11 total tackles, while Cody Shrewsbury and Zack Ragsdale added nine and eight tackles, respectively.

The Falcons forced three fumbles on the night, with Shrewsbury, Stanley and Dylan Edwards recovering loose balls.

Forbush falls to 0-4 on the season after the loss, including 0-2 in the Mountain Valley Conference.

The Falcons take on 1-3 North Wilkes Friday in search for the elusive first win.

Kick off is set for 7:30 in Hays.
