A 20-year-old Hillsville man was indicted Monday for carnal knowledge of a child age 14 without force.
Noah Clayton Coble was arrested Jan. 21 by Hillsville Police Department officers, who found him hiding in a closet under a pile of dirty laundry at a local residence. Officers David Walls and Allen Gravley made the arrest on that date and served a felony warrant for carnal knowledge of a child under 14 years of age and seven felony circuit court indictments for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
On Monday, a Carroll County Grand Jury returned a direct indictment for Coble having carnal knowledge of a child age 14 without force.
Cobles indictment was one of 180 returned by the Carroll County Grand Jury on Monday. Also indicted Monday were Robert Allen Archer was indicted for possession of a Schedule II Drug (methamphetamine).
Travis Lee Baker was indicted for petit larceny-third offense.
Erick Belcher was indicted for possession of a Schedule III Drug (acetaminophene) with intent to distribute.
David Allen Bledsoe was indicted for possession of a Schedule II Drug (oxycodone).
Kazre Nicole Bobbitt was indicted for hit and run.
Chad Andrew Bond was indicted for the manufacture of marijuana.
Melody Justice Bond was indicted for hit and run.
Joseph Dale Brown was indicted for one count of burglary and two counts of grand larceny.
